According to the latest data released by the World Steel Association, crude steel production in the 70 countries included in its statistics totaled 158.8 million tonnes in May 2025, representing a year-on-year decline of 3.8%.
From January to May 2025, global crude steel production reached 784 million tonnes, down 1.3% compared to the same period in 2024.
