The latest data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on May 19 shows that in April 2025, the national raw coal production was 389.31 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 3.8%.
Compared with March, it decreased by 51.27 million tons, a drop of 11.64%. In April, the average daily output was 12.98 million tons, a decrease of 1.23 million tons from 14.21 million tons in March, and an increase of 0.59 million tons from 12.39 million tons in the same period last year. From January to April 2025, the cumulative national raw coal production was 1.58474 billion tons, a year-on-year increase of 6.6%, with the growth rate narrowing by 1.5 percentage points compared with January-March.
