The National Energy Administration released data such as the total electricity consumption of the whole society in March.
In March, the total electricity consumption of the whole society was 828.2 billion kilowatt-hours, increasing by 4.8% year-on-year. From the perspective of electricity consumption by industry, the electricity consumption of the primary industry was 10.6 billion kilowatt-hours, increasing by 9.9% year-on-year. The electricity consumption of the secondary industry was 557.8 billion kilowatt-hours, increasing by 3.8% year-on-year. The electricity consumption of the tertiary industry was 148.4 billion kilowatt-hours, increasing by 8.4% year-on-year. The electricity consumption for urban and rural residents' daily life was 111.4 billion kilowatt-hours, increasing by 5.0% year-on-year.
From January to March, the cumulative electricity consumption of the whole society reached 2,384.6 billion kilowatt-hours, increasing by 2.5% year-on-year. Among them, the power generation of industrial enterprises above designated size was 2,269.9 billion kilowatt-hours. From the perspective of electricity consumption by industry, the electricity consumption of the primary industry was 31.4 billion kilowatt-hours, increasing by 8.7% year-on-year. The electricity consumption of the secondary industry was 1,521.4 billion kilowatt-hours, increasing by 1.9% year-on-year. The electricity consumption of the tertiary industry was 446.5 billion kilowatt-hours, increasing by 5.2% year-on-year. The electricity consumption for urban and rural residents' daily life was 385.3 billion kilowatt-hours, increasing by 1.5% year-on-year.
