Raw coal output in China rose 3.6% in June from a year earlier

According to the latest data released by the National Bureau of Statistics, in June 2024, the country's raw coal production was 405.38 million tons, an increase of 3.6% year-on-year, and the growth rate turned from negative to positive. And the month-on-month increase was 21.53 million tons, up 5.61%.
In June, the average daily output was 13.513 million tons, an increase of 1.131 million tons from 12.382 million tons in May and an increase of 513,000 tons from 13 million tons in the same period last year.
From January to June 2024, the country's cumulative raw coal production was 2265.51 million tons, down 1.7% year-on-year and 1.3 percentage points narrower than in the previous 5 months.
