China's raw coal output fell 2.9 percent year on year in April

The latest data released by the National Bureau of Statistics show that in April 2024, the country's raw coal production was 371.67 million tons, down 2.9% year-on-year and 1.3 percentage points narrower than the previous month.
 
In April, the average daily output was 12.39 million tons, down 490,000 tons from 12.88 million tons in March and down 330,000 tons from 12.72 million tons in the same period last year.
 
From January to April 2024, the country's cumulative raw coal production was 1475.79 million tons, down 3.5% year-on-year and 0.6 percentage points narrower than the first quarter.
