The latest data released by the National Bureau of Statistics show that in March 2024, China's power production grew steadily, and the industrial power generation on the scale was 747.7 billion KWH, an increase of 2.8%, the growth rate fell 5.5 percentage points compared with January to February, and the average daily power generation was 24.12 billion KWH.
Specifically, in March, the absolute thermal power generation of the country was 520.1 billion KWH, an increase of 0.5% year-on-year; Hydropower capacity was 71.2 billion KWH, up 3.1 percent year on year; Nuclear power capacity was 34.8 billion KWH, down 4.8% year on year. Wind power generation was 90.5 billion KWH, up 16.8% year on year; Solar power generation was 31.1 billion KWH, up 15.8% year on year.
From January to March, the planned industrial power generation was 2,237.2 billion KWH, up 6.7 percent year on year.
From January to March, the absolute power generation of thermal power was 1,602.8 billion KWH, an increase of 6.6%. Hydropower generation was 210.2 billion KWH, up 2.2% year-on-year; Nuclear power capacity was 103.9 billion KWH, up 0.6% year on year; Wind power generation was 241.9 billion KWH, up 11.0% year on year; Solar power generation was 78.3 billion KWH, up 17.5% year on year.
