Coal production in China fell 4.2% in March

The latest data released by the National Bureau of Statistics show that in March 2024, the country's raw coal production was 399.33 million tons, down 4.2% year-on-year, the decline is the same as the previous month. In March, the average daily output was 12.88 million tons, an increase of 1.13 million tons from 11.75 million tons in January-February, and a decrease of 580,000 tons from 13.46 million tons in the same period last year. From January to March 2024, the country's cumulative raw coal production was 1,105.56 million tons, down 4.1% year-on-year.
