The National Energy Administration released data on electricity consumption in May. Statistics show that in May, the whole society consumed 722.2 billion KWH of electricity, an increase of 7.4% year on year.
By industry, the primary industry consumed 10.3 billion KWH of electricity, up 16.9% year on year; The electricity consumption of the secondary industry was 495.8 billion KWH, up 4.1% year on year; The tertiary industry consumed 128.5 billion KWH of electricity, up 20.9 percent year on year; The domestic electricity consumption of urban and rural residents was 87.6 billion KWH, up 8.2% year on year.
From January to May, the total electricity consumption of the whole society was 3,532.5 billion KWH, an increase of 5.2% year-on-year.
