In April, China consumed 690.1 billion KWH of electricity, up 8.3 percent year on year. The primary industry consumed 8.8 billion KWH of electricity, up 12.3 percent year on year; The secondary industry consumed 481.4 billion KWH of electricity, up 7.6 percent year on year; The tertiary industry consumed 115.5 billion KWH, up 17.9 percent year on year; Domestic electricity consumption of urban and rural residents was 84.4 billion KWH, up 0.9 percent year on year.
From January to April, China's electricity consumption totaled 2,810.3 billion KWH, up 4.7 percent year on year. The primary industry consumed 35.1 billion KWH of electricity, up 10.3 percent year on year. The electricity consumption of the secondary industry was 1,863.2 billion KWH, up 5.0% year on year; The tertiary industry consumed 485.2 billion KWH of electricity, up 7.0 percent year on year; Domestic electricity consumption of urban and rural residents was 426.8 billion KWH, up 0.3 percent year on year.
