China Shenhua Group’s coal production decreased by 4.8% in November

The announcement of major operation data for November 2022 released by China Shenhua Group shows that the commercial coal output of China Shenhua Group in November 2022 was 26 million tons, down 4.8% year-on-year. Coal sales volume was 36.6 million tons, up 3.7% year-on-year.
In November 2022, the shipment volume at Shenhua Huanghua Port in China was 18.4 million tons, down 2.6% year-on-year. The shipment volume of Shenhua Tianjin Port was 0.4 million tons, the same with that of last year. Shipping and cargo volume was 10.8 million tons, up 16.1% year-on-year.
In addition, in November 2022, Shenhua’s power generation capacity reached 15.37 billion KWH, up 16.3% year-on-year. Total electricity sales in November reached 14.46 billion KWH, up 16.3% year-on-year.
From January to November 2022, Shenhua's coal production totaled 286.6 million tons, up 3.1% year-on-year. Coal sales totaled 380.4 million tons, down 11.7% year-on-year. From January to November 2022, the shipment volume at Shenhua Huanghua port in China was 188.2 million tons, down 3.4% year-on-year; Shipments at Shenhua Tianjin Port were 40.2 million tons, down 4.1% year-on-year. Shipping freight volume was 125.7 million tons, up 14.2% year-on-year. From January to November 2022, the accumulative total generating capacity was 172.81 billion KWH, up 16.6%.Total electricity sales from January to November 2022 totaled 162.38 billion KWH, up 16.9%.
