Electricity generation in China increased 1.3 % from a year earlier in October

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, China's absolute power generation in October 2022 was 661 billion kilowatt-hours, up 1.3 percent year on year,, with an average daily power generation of 21.32 billion kilowatt-hours.
By category, the absolute coal-fired power generation in October was 445.3 billion KWH, up 3.2 percent year on year; Absolute hydropower generation was 99.4 billion KWH, down 17.7 percent year on year; Absolute wind power generation was 61.3 billion KWH, up 19.2 percent year on year; Nuclear power was 36 billion KWH, up 7.4% year on year; Absolute solar capacity was 19 billion kilowatt-hours, up 24.7 percent from a year earlier.
In the first 10 months of 2022, China's absolute power generation reached 6,957.6 billion KWH, up 2.2 percent year on year.
From January to October, the absolute thermal power generation capacity was 4,818.8 billion KWH, up 0.8 percent year on year. Hydropower capacity was 1,050 billion KWH, up 2.2 percent year on year; Wind power generation was 551.3 billion KWH, up 12.4 percent year on year; Nuclear power supply was 340.7 billion KWH, up 1.2 percent year on year; Solar power generated 196.8 billion kilowatt-hours, up 16.7 percent year on year.
