Data released by the National Energy Administration showed that China's total electricity consumption from January to October was 7,176 billion kilowatt-hours, up 3.8 percent year on year.
The primary industry consumed 94.8 billion KWH of electricity, up 9.9% year on year; The secondary industry consumed 4,708.6 billion KWH of electricity, up 1.7 percent year on year; The tertiary industry consumed 1,247.9 billion KWH, up 4.2 percent year on year; Domestic electricity consumption of urban and rural residents was 1,124.7 billion KWH, up 12.6 percent year on year.
In October, electricity consumption was 683.4 billion KWH, up 2.2 percent year on year.
The primary industry consumed 9 billion KWH of electricity, up 6.5 percent year on year; The secondary industry consumed 472.6 billion KWH of electricity, up by 3.0% year on year; The tertiary industry consumed 110.2 billion KWH of electricity, down 2.0 percent year on year; Domestic electricity consumption by urban and rural residents was 91.6 billion KWH, up 3.3 percent year on year.
