China Shenhua Group’s coal production increased by 6.9% in September

The announcement of major operation data for September 2022 released by China Shenhua Group shows that the commercial coal output of China Shenhua Group in September 2022 was 25.2 million tons, up 6.8% year-on-year. Coal sales volume was 31.8 million tons, down 21.9% year-on-year.
In September 2022, the shipment volume at Shenhua Huanghua Port in China was 15.6 million tons, up 13.9% year-on-year. The shipment volume of Shenhua Tianjin Port was 3.8 million tons, up 8.6% year-on-year. Shipping and cargo volume was 12.3 million tons, up 12.8% year-on-year.
In addition, in September 2022, Shenhua’s power generation capacity reached 16.56 billion KWH, up 16.8% year-on-year. Total electricity sales in September reached 15.59 billion KWH, up 17.1% year-on-year.
From January to September 2022, Shenhua's coal production totaled 235.4 million tons, up 5% year-on-year. Coal sales totaled 309.2 million tons, down 14.5% year-on-year. From January to September 2022, the shipment volume at Shenhua Huanghua port in China was 151.5 million tons, down 4.4% year-on-year; Shipments at Shenhua Tianjin Port were 32.3 million tons, down 6.1% year-on-year. Shipping freight volume was 103.1 million tons, up 13.2% year-on-year. From January to September 2022, the accumulative total generating capacity was 142.37 billion KWH, up 15.7%.Total electricity sales from January to September 2022 totaled 133.77 billion KWH, up 16%.
