The country's raw coal output rose 8.1% in August, down 0.6% month-on-month

The country produced 370.44 million tons of raw coal in August 2022, up 8.1 percent year on year, according to the latest data released by the National Bureau of Statistics. Month-on-month decrease was 2.22 million tons, or 0.60 percent.
 
In August, average daily output was 11.95 million tons, down by 70,000 tons from 12.02 million tons in July.
 
In the first eight months of 2022, China's cumulative raw coal output was 2,929.34 million tons, up 11.0 percent year on year and 0.5 percentage points narrower than the previous 7 months.
