China Shenhua Group’s coal production increased by 13.8% in July

The announcement of major operation data for July 2022 released by China Shenhua Group shows that the commercial coal output of China Shenhua Group in July 2022 was 27.2 million tons, up 13.8% year-on-year. Coal sales volume was 33.5 million tons, down 18.9% year-on-year.
On a month-on-month basis, both production and sales increased in July, of which the output increased by 2.2 million tons, an increase of 8.8%; Sales increased 1.2 million tons month-on-month, up 3.72 percent.
In July 2022, the shipment volume at Shenhua Huanghua Port in China was 16.9 million tons, down 4% year-on-year. The shipment volume of Shenhua Tianjin Port was 4 million tons, down 4.8% year-on-year. Shipping and cargo volume was 12.1 million tons, up 3.5% year-on-year.
In addition, in July 2022, Shenhua’s power generation capacity reached 18.98 billion KWH, up 20% year-on-year. Total electricity sales in July reached 17.83 billion KWH, up 19.1% year-on-year.
From January to July 2022, Shenhua's coal production totaled 184.8 million tons, up 4.8% year-on-year. Coal sales totaled 243.6 million tons, down 13.6% year-on-year. From January to July 2022, the shipment volume at Shenhua Huanghua port in China was 120.1 million tons, down 5.4% year-on-year; Shipments at Shenhua Tianjin Port were 24.3 million tons, down 10% year-on-year. Shipping freight volume was 77.9 million tons, up 13.7% year-on-year. From January to July 2022, the accumulative total generating capacity was 103.77 billion KWH, up 11.7%.Total electricity sales from January to July 2022 totaled 97.43 billion KWH, up 12%.
