The National Energy Administration released data on electricity consumption from January to July. From January to July, electricity consumption totaled 4,930.3 billion KWH, up 3.4 percent year on year.
The primary industry consumed 63.4 billion KWH of electricity, up 11.1% year on year; The electricity consumption of the secondary industry was 3,255.2 billion KWH, up 1.1% year on year; Electricity consumption of the tertiary industry was 853.1 billion KWH, up 4.6 percent year on year; Urban and rural residents consumed 758.6 billion KWH of electricity, up 12.5 percent year on year.
In July, electricity consumption was 832.4 billion kilowatt-hours, up 6.3 percent year on year.
By industry, the primary industry consumed 12.1 billion KWH of electricity, up 14.3% year on year; Electricity consumption of the secondary industry was 513.2 billion KWH, down 0.1% year on year; The tertiary industry consumed 159.1 billion KWH of electricity, up 11.5% year on year; Urban and rural residents consumed 148 billion KWH of electricity, up 26.8 percent year on year.
