China Shenhua Group’s coal production decreased by 0.4% in June

The announcement of major operation data for June 2022 released by China Shenhua Group shows that the commercial coal output of China Shenhua Group in June 2022 was 25 million tons, down 0.4% year-on-year. Coal sales volume was 32.3 million tons, down 22% year-on-year.
In June 2022, the shipment volume at Shenhua Huanghua Port in China was 16.7 million tons, down 1.2% year-on-year. The shipment volume of Shenhua Tianjin Port was 3.8 million tons, down 11.6% year-on-year. Shipping and cargo volume was 10.6 million tons, up 8.2% year-on-year.
In addition, in June 2022, Shenhua’s power generation capacity reached 13.44 billion KWH, down 4.3% year-on-year. Total electricity sales in June reached 12.57 billion KWH, down 2.9% year-on-year.
From January to June 2022, Shenhua's coal production totaled 157.6 million tons, up 3.4% year-on-year. Coal sales totaled 210.1 million tons, down 12.7% year-on-year. From January to June 2022, the shipment volume at Shenhua Huanghua port in China was 103.2 million tons, down 5.7% year-on-year; Shipments at Shenhua Tianjin Port were 203 million tons, down 11% year-on-year. Shipping freight volume was 65.8 million tons, up 11% year-on-year. From January to June 2022, the accumulative total generating capacity was 84.79 billion KWH, up 10.1%.Total electricity sales from January to June 2022 totaled 79.6 billion KWH, up 10.5%.
