China's raw coal output rose 10.3% in May

According to the latest data released by the National Bureau of Statistics, in May 2021, China's raw coal output reached 367.83 million tons, up 10.3% year on year. Month-on-month increase was 5.03 million tons, an increase of 1.39%.
 
China's raw coal production maintained rapid growth in May as the policy of ensuring coal supply and stabilizing prices was further promoted, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said.
 
In May, the average daily output was 11.87 million tons, down 220,000 tons from 12.09 million tons in April.
 
From January to May 2021, China's total raw coal output reached 1,814.41 million tons, up 10.4 percent year on year, 0.1 percentage points higher than the previous 4 months.
