China Shenhua Group’s coal production increased by 6.3% in April

The announcement of major operation data for April 2022 released by China Shenhua Group shows that the commercial coal output of China Shenhua Group in April 2022 was 26.8 million tons, up 6.3% year-on-year. Coal sales volume was 36.8 million tons, down 15.4% year-on-year.
In April 2022, the shipment volume at Shenhua Huanghua Port in China was 18.4 million tons, down 2.6% year-on-year. The shipment volume of Shenhua Tianjin Port was 3.3 million tons, down 5.7% year-on-year. Shipping and cargo volume was 13 million tons, up 39.8% year-on-year.
In addition, in April 2022, Shenhua’s power generation capacity reached 12.83 billion KWH, up 5.6% year-on-year. Total electricity sales in April reached 12.03 billion KWH, up 5.2% year-on-year.
From January to April 2022, Shenhua's coal production totaled 107.6 million tons, up 4.3% year-on-year. Coal sales totaled 142.5 million tons, down 10.3% year-on-year. From January to April 2022, the shipment volume at Shenhua Huanghua port in China was 70.3 million tons, down 5.0% year-on-year; Shipments at Shenhua Tianjin Port were 13 million tons, down 9.7% year-on-year. Shipping freight volume was 43.7 million tons, up 10.6% year-on-year. From January to April 2022, the accumulative total generating capacity was 59.58 billion KWH, up 20.8%.Total electricity sales from January to April 2022 totaled 56.02 billion KWH, up 21%.
