China Shenhua Group’s coal production increased by 5% in February

The announcement of major operation data for February 2022 released by China Shenhua Group shows that the commercial coal output of China Shenhua Group in February 2022 was 25.2 million tons, up 5.0% year-on-year. Coal sales volume was 34.5 million tons, down 2.5% year-on-year.
In February 2022, the shipment volume at Shenhua Huanghua Port in China was 16.1 million tons, down 3.6% year-on-year. The shipment volume of Shenhua Tianjin Port was 2.9 million tons, down 17.1% year-on-year. Shipping and cargo volume was 9.9 million tons, up 13.8% year-on-year.
In addition, in February 2022, Shenhua’s power generation capacity reached 13.69 billion KWH, up 60.9% year-on-year. Total electricity sales in February reached 12.87 billion KWH, up 61.9% year-on-year.
From January to February 2022, Shenhua's coal production totaled 53 million tons, up 1.9% year-on-year. Coal sales totaled 63.5 million tons, down 8.5% year-on-year. From January to February 2022, the shipment volume at Shenhua Huanghua port in China was 33.9 million tons, down 4.5% year-on-year; Shipments at Shenhua Tianjin Port were 6.4 million tons, down 12.3% year-on-year. Shipping freight volume was 20.7 million tons, up 4.5% year-on-year. From January to February 2022, the accumulative total generating capacity was 30.78 billion KWH, up 30.1%.Total electricity sales from January to February 2022 totaled 28.93 billion KWH, up30.3%.
