In February this year, China's economy continued to recover steadily, and electricity consumption continued to grow, reaching 623.5 billion kilowatt-hours, up 16.9% year on year.
By industry, the primary industry consumed 7.7 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, up 15.4 percent year on year. The secondary industry consumed 375.6 billion kilowatt hours of electricity, up 14.5% year on year; The tertiary industry consumed 118.2 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, up 17.4% year on year; Urban and rural residents used 122 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, up 24.8% year on year.
From January to February, China's electricity consumption totaled 1,346.7 billion kilowatt hours, up 5.8 percent year on year. By industry, the primary industry consumed 16.3 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, up 12.8% year on year. The secondary industry consumed 841.3 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, up 3.4% year on year; The tertiary industry consumed 248.8 billion KWH of electricity, up 7.2% year on year; Urban and rural residents used 240.3 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, up 13.1% year on year.
