China Shenhua Group’s coal production increased by 15.1% in December

The announcement of major operation data for December 2021 released by China Shenhua Group shows that the commercial coal output of China Shenhua Group in December 2021 was 29 million tons, up 15.1% year-on-year. Coal sales volume was 51.6 million tons, up 10.0% year-on-year.
In December 2021, the shipment volume at Shenhua Huanghua Port in China was 20.2 million tons, up 21% year-on-year. The shipment volume of Shenhua Tianjin Port was 4.5 million tons, up 12.5% year-on-year. Shipping and cargo volume was 11.1 million tons, up 20.7% year-on-year.
In addition, in December 2021, Shenhua’s power generation capacity reached 18.24 billion KWH, up 28.6% year-on-year. Total electricity sales in December reached 17.18 billion KWH, up 28.9% year-on-year.
From January to December 2021, Shenhua's coal production totaled 307 million tons, up 5.3% year-on-year. Coal sales totaled 482.3 million tons, up 8% year-on-year. From January to December 2021, the shipment volume at Shenhua Huanghua port in China was 215 million tons, up 5.5% year-on-year; Shipments at Shenhua Tianjin Port were 46.4 million tons, up 2.2% year-on-year. Shipping freight volume was 121.2 million tons, up 7.3% year-on-year. From January to December 2021, the accumulative total generating capacity was 166.45 billion KWH, up 22.1%.Total electricity sales from January to December 2021 totaled 156.13 billion KWH, up 22.3%.
