China Shenhua Group’s coal production increased by 6.4% in October

The announcement of major operation data for October 2021 released by China Shenhua Group shows that the commercial coal output of China Shenhua Group in October 2021 was 26.5 million tons, up 6.4% year-on-year and up 12.29% month-on-month. Coal sales volume was 33.8 million tons, down 9.1% year-on-year and down 16.95% month-on-month.
In October 2021, the shipment volume at Shenhua Huanghua Port in China was 17.4 million tons, down 5.4% year-on-year but up 27.01% month-on-month. The shipment volume of Shenhua Tianjin Port was 3.5 million tons, down 10.3% year-on-year and the same with that of last month. Shipping and cargo volume was 9.7 million tons, down 1.0% year-on-year and down 11.01% month-on-month.
In addition, in October 2021, Shenhua’s power generation capacity reached 11.96 billion KWH, up 28.9% year-on-year. Total electricity sales in October reached 11.23 billion KWH, up 29.2% year-on-year.
From January to October 2021, Shenhua's coal production totaled 250.7 million tons, up 3.8% year-on-year. Coal sales totaled 395.4 million tons, up 9.6% year-on-year.From January to October 2021, the shipment volume at Shenhua Huanghua port in China was 175.9 million tons, up 4% year-on-year; Shipments at Shenhua Tianjin Port were 37.9 million tons, up 1.3% year-on-year. Shipping freight volume was 100.8 million tons, up 8.2% year-on-year.From January to October 2021, the accumulative total generating capacity was 134.99 billion KWH, up 21.8%.Total electricity sales from January to October 2021 totaled 126.52 billion KWH, up 22%.
