China Shenhua Group’s coal production decreased by 4.78% in September

The announcement of major operation data for September 2021 released by China Shenhua Group shows that the commercial coal output of China Shenhua Group in September 2021 was 23.6 million tons, up 0.4% year-on-year but down 2.88% month-on-month. Coal sales volume was 40.7 million tons, up 1.2% year-on-year and up 4.9% month-on-month.
In September 2021, the shipment volume at Shenhua Huanghua Port in China was 13.7 million tons, down 22.2% year-on-year and down 23.03% month-on-month. The shipment volume of Shenhua Tianjin Port was 3.5 million tons, down 14.6% year-on-year and down 10.26% month-on-month. Shipping and cargo volume was 10.9 million tons, up 11.2% year-on-year but down 6.84% month-on-month.
In addition, in September 2021, Shenhua’s power generation capacity reached 14.18 billion KWH, up 25.7% year-on-year. Total electricity sales in September reached 13.31 billion KWH, up 26.3% year-on-year.
From January to September 2021, Shenhua's coal production totaled 224.2 million tons, up 3.5% year-on-year. Coal sales totaled 361.6 million tons, up 11.8% year-on-year.From January to September 2021, the shipment volume at Shenhua Huanghua port in China was 158.5 million tons, up 5.2% year-on-year; Shipments at Shenhua Tianjin Port were 34.4 million tons, up 2.7% year-on-year. Shipping freight volume was 91.1 million tons, up 9.2% year-on-year.From January to September 2021, the accumulative total generating capacity was 123.03 billion KWH, up 21.1%.Total electricity sales from January to September 2021 totaled 115.29 billion KWH, up 21.3%.
