China's raw coal output in August was 335.24 million tons, up 0.8 percent Y-o-Y

According to the latest data released by the National Bureau of Statistics, China's raw coal output in August 2021 reached 335.24 million tons, up 0.8 percent year on year, while the previous month saw a drop of 3.3 percent. That was 0.7% higher than the same period in 2019, and a two-year average of 0.3%.
On a month-on-month basis, raw coal production in August increased by 21.07 million tons from July, up 6.71 percent, after falling 2.79 percent last month.
In August, the average daily output was 10.81 million tons, an increase of 680,000 tons from 10.13 million tons in July.
From January to August 2021, the total output of raw coal was 2,597.24 million tons, up 4.4 percent year on year and 0.5 percentage points lower than that of the previous 7 months. This is an increase of 4.2% from the same period in 2019 and a two-year average of 2.1%.
According to the above data, with the continuous refinement and deepening of the measures to increase production and ensure supply, after August, the national raw coal output increased significantly, especially with a large sequential increment, and the year-on-year growth was also the largest this year.
