China Shenhua Group’s coal production decreased by 4.78% in July

The announcement of major operation data for July 2021 released by China Shenhua Group shows that the commercial coal output of China Shenhua Group in July 2021 was 23.9 million tons, up 0.8% year-on-year but down 4.78% month-on-month. Coal sales volume was 41.3 million tons, up 3.3% year-on-year but down 0.24% month-on-month.
In July 2021, the shipment volume at Shenhua Huanghua Port in China was 17.6 million tons, down 10.2% year-on-year but up 4.14% month-on-month. The shipment volume of Shenhua Tianjin Port was 4.2 million tons, up 5% year-on-year but down 2.33% month-on-month. Shipping and cargo volume was 9.2 million tons, down 24.6% year-on-year and down 6.12% month-on-month.
In addition, in July 2021, Shenhua’s power generation capacity reached 15.82 billion KWH, up 20.6% year-on-year. Total electricity sales in July reached 14.97 billion KWH, up 21.9% year-on-year.
From January to July 2021, Shenhua's coal production totaled 176.3 million tons, down 10.2% year-on-year. Coal sales totaled 282.1 million tons, up15% year-on-year.From January to July 2021, the shipment volume at Shenhua Huanghua port in China was 127 million tons, up 12.1% year-on-year; Shipments at Shenhua Tianjin Port were 27 million tons, up 5.9% year-on-year. Shipping freight volume was 68.5 million tons, up 7.9% year-on-year.From January to July 2021, the accumulative total generating capacity was 92.86 billion KWH, up 22.3%.Total electricity sales from January to July 2021 totaled 87.01 billion KWH, up 22.5%.
