China's raw coal output fell 3.3 percent year-on-year to 314.17 million tons in July 2021, narrowing 1.7 percentage points from the previous month, according to the latest data released by the National Bureau of Statistics. It is 6.9 percent lower than the same period in 2019, and the two-year average decline is 3.5 percent. On a month-on-month basis, raw coal production in July decreased by 9.02 million tons, or 2.79%, from June. In July, the average daily output was 10.13 million tons, down by 640,000 tons from 10.77 million tons in June, showing another month-on-month decrease. Since March, only June has seen a month-on-month increase. From January to July 2021, China's cumulative raw coal output was 2261.78 million tons, up 4.9% year on year, an increase of 1.5 percentage points lower than the previous June.
