China Shenhua Group’s coal production increased by 3.3% in June

The announcement of major operation data for June 2021 released by China Shenhua Group shows that the commercial coal output of China Shenhua Group in June 2021 was 25.1 million tons, up 3.3% year-on-year and up 4.15% month-on-month. Coal sales volume was 41.4 million tons, up 8.4% year-on-year and up 2.2% month-on-month.
In June 2021, the shipment volume at Shenhua Huanghua Port in China was 16.9 million tons, down 5.6% year-on-year and down 8.65% month-on-month. The shipment volume of Shenhua Tianjin Port was 4.3 million tons, up 19.4% year-on-year and up 4.88% month-on-month. Shipping and cargo volume was 9.8 million tons, down 3.9% year-on-year and down 2% month-on-month.
In addition, in June 2021, Shenhua’s power generation capacity reached 14.04 billion KWH, up 6.5% year-on-year. Total electricity sales in June reached 12.95 billion KWH, up 5.1% year-on-year.
From January to June 2021, Shenhua's coal production totaled 152.4 million tons, up 4.7% year-on-year. Coal sales totaled 240.8 million tons, up17.3% year-on-year.From January to June 2021, the shipment volume at Shenhua Huanghua port in China was 109.4 million tons, up 16.8% year-on-year; Shipments at Shenhua Tianjin Port were 22.8 million tons, up 6% year-on-year. Shipping freight volume was 59.3 million tons, up 15.6% year-on-year.From January to June 2021, the accumulative total generating capacity was 77.04 billion KWH, up 22.6%.Total electricity sales from January to June 2021 totaled 72.04 billion KWH, up 22.6%.
