According to the latest data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on July 15, China's raw coal output in June 2021 was 323.19 million tons, down 5 percent year on year. On a month-on-month basis, raw coal production in June was 3.1 million tons lower than in May, down 0.95 percent.
In June, average daily output was 10.77 million tons, up 240,000 tons from 10.53 million tons in May and the first monthly increase after the third consecutive monthly decline.
From January to June 2021, China's total raw coal output reached 1,948.67 million tons, up 6.4 percent year on year and 2.4 percentage points lower than that in the previous 5 months. That is 7.1 percent higher than the same period in 2019, with a two-year average growth of 3.5 percent.
From the above data, it can be seen that after entering June, under the influence of multiple factors, the national raw coal output has been significantly reduced, and the year-on-year decline is the largest since 2016. And the average daily month-on-month increase is only the impact of the size of the month.
