China's raw coal output was 326.29 million tons in May, up 0.6% year on year

According to the latest data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on June 16, China's raw coal output in May 2021 was 326.29 million tons, up 0.6 percent year on year, and 0.6 percent higher than the same period in 2019, with a two-year average growth of 0.3 percent.
On a month-on-month basis, raw coal production in May increased by 4.07 million tons from April, up 1.26 percent.
In May, the average daily output was 10.53 million tons, down 210,000 tons from 10.74 million tons in April, the third consecutive month-on-month decline.
From January to May 2021, China's total raw coal output reached 1621 million tons, up 8.8 percent year on year and 2.3 percentage points lower than that of the previous 4 months. And the total output is 9.8 percent higher than the same period in 2019, with a two-year average growth of 4.8 percent.
Although from the total volume in May, the national raw coal production did increase, with year-on-year and month-on-month growth, but from the point of view of daily output, which is second low compared to January and February this year.
After entering in May, although the guarantee for steady price policy carried out, but in the case of frequent accidents, and the nationwide safety inspection is further tightening, the coal supply still did not see a big volume.
