China Shenhua Group’s coal production increased by 13.5% in April

The announcement of major operation data for April 2021 released by China Shenhua Group shows that the commercial coal output of China Shenhua Group in April 2021 was 25.2 million tons, up 13.5% year-on-year but down 3.08% month-on-month. Coal sales volume was 43.5 million tons, up 38.1% year-on-year but down 5.43% month-on-month.
In April 2021, the shipment volume at Shenhua Huanghua Port in China was 18.9 million tons, up 36% year-on-year but down 3.57% month-on-month. The shipment volume of Shenhua Tianjin Port was 3.5 million tons, up 6.1% year-on-year but down 2.78% month-on-month. Shipping and cargo volume was 9.3 million tons, up 4.5% year-on-year but down 10.58% month-on-month.
In addition, in April 2021, Shenhua’s power generation capacity reached 12.15 billion KWH, up 21.9% year-on-year. Total electricity sales in April reached 11.43 billion KWH, up 22.6% year-on-year.
From January to April 2021, Shenhua's coal production totaled 103.2 million tons, up 6.8% year-on-year. Coal sales totaled 158.9 million tons, up 22.3% year-on-year.From January to April 2021, the shipment volume at Shenhua Huanghua port in China was 74 million tons, up 26.1% year-on-year; Shipments at Shenhua Tianjin Port were 14.4 million tons, up 2.1% year-on-year. Shipping freight volume was 39.5 million tons, up 24.2% year-on-year.From January to April 2021, the accumulative total generating capacity was 49.33 billion KWH, up 31.8%.Total electricity sales from January to April 2021 totaled 46.31 billion KWH, up 32.2%.
