China Shenhua Group’s coal production increased by 4.4% in March

The announcement of major operation data for March 2021 released by China Shenhua Group shows that the commercial coal output of China Shenhua Group in March 2021 was 26 million tons, up 4.4% year-on-year and up 8.33% month-on-month. Coal sales volume was 46 million tons, up 12.2% year-on-year and up 29.94% month-on-month.
In March 2021, the shipment volume at Shenhua Huanghua Port in China was 19.6 million tons, up 31.5% year-on-year and up 17.37% month-on-month. The shipment volume of Shenhua Tianjin Port was 3.6 million tons, down 5.3% year-on-year but up 2.86% month-on-month. Shipping and cargo volume was 10.4 million tons, up 40.5% year-on-year and up 19.54% month-on-month.
In addition, in March 2021, Shenhua’s power generation capacity reached 13.53 billion KWH, up 54.5% year-on-year. Total electricity sales in March reached 12.68 billion KWH, up 54.8% year-on-year.
From January to March 2021, Shenhua's coal production totaled 78 million tons, up 4.8% year-on-year. Coal sales totaled 115.4 million tons, up 17.3% year-on-year.From January to March 2021, the shipment volume at Shenhua Huanghua port in China was 55.1 million tons, up 23% year-on-year; Shipments at Shenhua Tianjin Port were 10.9 million tons, up 0.9% year-on-year. Shipping freight volume was 30.2 million tons, up 31.9% year-on-year.From January to March 2021, the accumulative total generating capacity was 37.18 billion KWH, up 35.4%.Total electricity sales from March to December totaled 34.88 billion KWH, up 35.7%.
