China produced 340.76 million tons of raw coal in March 2021, down 0.2 percent year on year and up 9.4 percent from March 2019, with a two-year average increase of 4.6 percent, according to the latest data released by the National Bureau of Statistics.
In March, the average daily output was 10.99 million tons, an increase of 520,000 tons from 10.47 million tons in January-February.
From January to March 2021, China's total raw coal output reached 970.56 million tons, up 16 percent year on year, which is an increase of 15.4% over the first quarter of 2019 and a two-year average growth of 7.4%.
Combined with the data previously released by the National Bureau of Statistics, it can be seen that the growth rate of national raw coal output in the first quarter of this year was significantly lower than that in the previous two months, and the direct reason for this result was that the output in March this year was lower than that in the previous year.
However, from the perspective of average daily output, the output in March is still higher than the previous two months, and the reason for the difference from the previous months depends on the specific production environment of the coal mine at that time.
