Inner Mongolia coal prices continue to decline in March

Inner Mongolia Development and Reform Commission news, in March, the average weekly coal price in the whole region continued to pick up slightly, but affected by the high coal price base in the earlier period, the average monthly coal price in the whole region in March still showed a downward trend.
In March, the average pithead price (convert to standard price, the same below) of steam coal in the whole region was 285.71 Yuan/ton, down 5.09% month-on-month, and the average loading price of steam coal in the whole region was 295.06 Yuan/ton, down 4.90% month-on-month.
Among them, the average pithead price of lignite in eastern Inner Mongolia was 294.23 Yuan/ton, up 2.43% month-on-month, and the average pithead price of thermal coal in Ordos was 297.95 Yuan/ton, down 18.06% month-on-month.
In March, the average value of thermal coal converted into standard coal in western Inner Mongolia was 283.75 Yuan/ton, down 20.29% month-on-month and up 9.87% year on year. In eastern Inner Mongolia, the average value of thermal coal converted into standard coal is 351.50 Yuan/ton, 4.41% higher than the previous month and 16.01% higher than the same period last year.
Inner Mongolia Development and Reform Commission said that in April, the continuous improvement of the economy will continue to drive the steady increase of coal demand, terminal users and production enterprises both have low inventory and Daqin Line begin annual maintenance, coal demand will be centralized released, and coal prices may rise rapidly and sharply again in the short term.
