China's raw coal production in January-February 2021 grew faster than the same period last year, but the daily average fell slightly month-on-month, according to the latest data released by the National Bureau of Statistics.
From January to February, China's raw coal output reached 617.59 million tons, up 25 percent year on year and 24.1 percentage points higher than that from January to December 2020. Compared with January-February 2019, the growth rate was 17.1% and the two-year average growth rate was 8.2%.
From January to February, China's daily output of raw coal averaged 10.47 million tons, 880,000 tons less than in December last year.
The figures show that while the country's raw coal output grew sharply in the first two months of the year on a year-on-year basis, which was based on lower output in the same period last year.
In fact, from the point of view of daily average output, the data show that, even in the face of the upper level of demand for increased supply, the national raw coal production has still not significantly increased.
