China Shenhua Group’s coal production increased by 16.2% in January

The announcement of major operation data for January 2021 released by China Shenhua Group shows that the commercial coal output of China Shenhua Group in January 2021 was 28 million tons, up 16.2% year-on-year and up 11.1% month-on-month. Coal sales volume was 34 million tons, up 25.5% year-on-year but down 27.5% month-on-month. In January 2021, the shipment volume at Shenhua Huanghua Port in China was 18.8 million tons, up 16% year-on-year and up 12.6% month-on-month. The shipment volume of Shenhua Tianjin Port was 3.8 million tons, up 5.6% year-on-year but down 5% month-on-month. Shipping and cargo volume was 11.1 million tons, up 30.6% year-on-year and up 20.6% month-on-month.
In addition, in January 2021, Shenhua’s power generation capacity reached 15.14 billion KWH, up 24.7% year-on-year. Total electricity sales in January reached 14.25 billion KWH, up 25.3% year-on-year.
