China Shenhua Group’s coal production increased by 4.1% in December

The announcement of major operation data for December 2020 released by China Shenhua Group shows that the commercial coal output of China Shenhua Group in December 2020 was 25.2 million tons, up 4.1% year-on-year and up 1.61% month-on-month. Coal sales volume was 46.9 million tons, up 6.8% year-on-year and up 20.88% month-on-month.
From January to December 2020, Shenhua's coal production totaled 291.6 million tons, up 3.1% year-on-year. Coal sales totaled 446.4 million tons, down 0.2% year-on-year.
In December 2020, the shipment volume at Shenhua Huanghua Port in China was 16.7 million tons, down 1.8% year-on-year and down 7.22% month-on-month. The shipment volume of Shenhua Tianjin Port was 4 million tons, up 5.3% year-on-year and the same with that of the previous month. Shipping and cargo volume was 9.2 million tons, up 5.7% year-on-year but down 13.21% month-on-month.
From January to December in 2020, the shipment volume at Shenhua Huanghua port in China was 203.8 million tons, up 2.1% year-on-year; Shipments at Shenhua Tianjin Port were 45.4 million tons, up 1.6% year-on-year. Shipping freight volume was 113 million tons, up 2.9% year-on-year.
In addition, in December 2020, Shenhua’s power generation capacity reached 14.18 billion KWH, down 0.1% year-on-year. From January to December, the accumulative total generating capacity was 136.33 billion KWH. Total electricity sales in December reached 13.33 billion KWH, down 0.1% year-on-year; Total electricity sales from January to December totaled 127.65 billion KWH.
