Inner Mongolia coal prices edged up slightly in November

According to Inner Mongolia Development and Reform Commission, the price of thermal coal at mine mouths edged up slightly in November, and the purchase price of thermal coal edged up slightly in November.
 
In November, the average settlement price of thermal coal at mine mouths in the region was 241.89 Yuan/mt in November, up 0.41% compared with that of October, and up 15.30% compared with that of November of 2019.
 
Among them, the average settlement price of lignite at mine mouths in the eastern region was 227.77 Yuan/mt, up 0.30% compared with that of October, and up 22.42% compared with that of November of 2019. The average settlement price of thermal coal at mine mouths in Ordos was 296.67 Yuan/mt, up 2.10% compared with that of October, and up 21.09% compared with that of November of 2019. 
 
The average purchase price of thermal coal in Inner Mongolia was 230.50 Yuan /mt in November, up 4.20% compared with that of October, and up 11.47% compared with that of November of 2019. After conversion to standard coal (7000 Kcal/Kg), the average purchase price was 454.42 Yuan/mt, up 3.30% compared with that of October, and up 10.70% compared with that of November of 2019.
 
Among them, the average purchase price of thermal coal in the eastern region was 220.45 Yuan/mt, up 3.30% compared with that of October, and up 10.70% compared with that of November of 2019. The average purchase price of thermal coal in the western region was 238.55 Yuan/mt, up 7.26% compared with that of October, and up 11.21% compared with that of November of 2019.
 
According to the Inner Mongolia Development and Reform Commission, the Central Meteorological Bureau said at a press conference that the cold air has been frequent in China this winter, with temperatures in most areas ranging from normal to low. Coal prices in Inner Mongolia are expected to continue a slight upward trend in December due to low port inventories and the impact of snowfall on transportation, as demand for electricity and heating increases and power plants are motivated to replenish inventories following the cold air attacks.
