China Shenhua Group’s coal production increased by 15.8% in October

The announcement of major operation data for October 2020 released by China Shenhua Group shows that the commercial coal output of China Shenhua Group in October 2020 was 24.9 million tons, up 15.8% year-on-year and up 5.96% month-on-month. Coal sales volume was 37.2 million tons, up 10.4% year-on-year but down 7.46% month-on-month.
From January to October 2020, Shenhua's coal production totaled 241.6 million tons, up 2.5% year-on-year. Coal sales totaled 360.7 million tons, down 1.3% year-on-year.
In October 2020, the shipment volume at Shenhua Huanghua Port in China was 18.4 million tons, up 13.6% year-on-year and up 4.55% month-on-month. The shipment volume of Shenhua Tianjin Port was 3.9 million tons, up 11.4% year-on-year but down 4.88% month-on-month. Shipping and cargo volume was 9.8 million tons, up 8.9% year-on-year and the same with that of the previous month.
From January to October in 2020, the shipment volume at Shenhua Huanghua port in China was 169.1 million tons, up 1.6% year-on-year; Shipments at Shenhua Tianjin Port were 37.4 million tons, up 0.5% year-on-year. Shipping freight volume was 93.2 million tons, up 0.8% year-on-year.
In addition, in October 2020, Shenhua’s power generation capacity reached 9.28 billion KWH, down 15.4% year-on-year. From January to October, the accumulative total generating capacity was 110.84 billion KWH. Total electricity sales in October reached 8.69 billion KWH, down 16.0% year-on-year; Total electricity sales from January to October totaled 103.72 billion KWH.
