China Shenhua Group’s coal production increased by 11.9% in September

The announcement of major operation data for September 2020 released by China Shenhua Group shows that the commercial coal output of China Shenhua Group in September 2020 was 23.5 million tons, up 11.9% year-on-year but down 1.67% month-on-month. Coal sales volume was 40.2 million tons, up 8.6% year on year and up 5.79% month on month.
From January to September 2020, Shenhua's coal production totaled 216.7 million tons, up 1.2% year-on-year. Coal sales totaled 323.5 million tons, down 2.5% year on year.
In September 2020, the shipment volume at Shenhua Huanghua Port in China was 17.6 million tons, up 5.4% year on year but down 11.11% month on month. The shipment volume of Shenhua Tianjin Port was 4.1 million tons, up 7.9% year on year and 5.13% month on month. Shipping and cargo volume was 9.8 million tons, up 2.1% year-on-year but down 2.97% month-on-month.
From January to September in 2020, the shipment volume at Shenhua Huanghua port in China was 150.7 million tons, up 0.3% year-on-year; Shipments at Shenhua Tianjin Port were 33.5 million tons, down 0.6 percent year on year. Shipping freight volume was 83.4 million tons, down 0.1 percent year on year.
In addition, in September 2020, Shenhua’s power generation capacity reached 11.28 billion KWH, up 5.3% year on year. From January to September, the accumulative total generating capacity was 101.56 billion KWH. Total electricity sales in September reached 10.54 billion KWH, up 4.8% year on year; Total electricity sales from January to September totaled 95.03 billion KWH.
