Thermal coal prices in Inner Mongolia edged up slightly in early-September

In early-September of 2020, the price of thermal coal in coal pit and the purchase price of thermal coal in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region both edged up slightly.
On September 5, the average settlement price of thermal coal at mine mouth in Inner Mongolia was 235.87 Yuan/ton, up 0.41% compared with that of August 25, 2020. Among them, the average settlement price of lignite in the eastern region was 220.06 Yuan/ton, up 0.97% compared with that of August 25, 2020. The average settlement price of thermal coal in Ordos was 275.00 Yuan/ton, the same with that of August 25, 2020. Compared with that of September 5, 2019, the average settlement price of thermal coal at mine mouth in Inner Mongolia increased by 9.40%, of which the average settlement price of lignite in the eastern region increased by 15.13%, and the average settlement price of thermal coal in Ordos increased by 5.77%.
On September 5, the average purchase price of thermal coal in the region was 211.06 Yuan/ton, up 1.10% compared with that of August 25, 2020. When converted into standard coal (7000 kcal), the average value was 422.86 Yuan/ton, up 1.56% compared with that of August 25, 2020. Among them, the average purchase price of thermal coal in the eastern region was 218.62 Yuan/ton, up 2.42% compared with that of August 25, 2020. When converted into standard coal, the average value was 512.50 Yuan/ton,up 2.93% compared with that of August 25, 2020. The average purchase price of thermal coal in western Inner Mongolia was 205.01 Yuan/ton, the same with that of August 25, 2020. When converted into standard coal, the average value was 351.16 Yuan/ton, the same with that of August 25, 2020. Compared with the same period of last year, the average purchase price of thermal coal in the whole region increased by 3.14%, among which the purchase price of thermal coal in the eastern region increased by 11.43% and the purchase price of thermal coal in the western region decreased by 3.02%.
