The volume of goods transported on the Daqin Line in August increased by 1.4%

According to a statement released by Daqin Railway on September 9, the company's core operating asset, Daqin Railway, completed the transportation of 34.65 million tons of goods in August 2020, up 1.4% year on year and 3.27 percentage points less than the previous month.
On a month-on-month basis, that was down 4.38 million tons, or 11.22%, from July.
The average daily volume in August was 1.118 million tons, down 141,000 tons from 1.259 million tons in July.
In August, the Daqin Railway operated 75.4 heavy trains per day, of which 54.4 trains per day were 20,000 tons.
From January to August in 2020, the freight transport volume of The Daqin Line reached 261.31 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 9.8% and 1.48 percentage points narrower than that of the previous July.
It can be seen from the above data that the freight volume of Daqin Line in August decreased significantly compared with that in July, which is directly related to the occurrence of the two derailment accidents.
