According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, from January to May 2020, China's raw coal output was 1.47 billion tons, increasing by 0.9% year on year and the growth rate decreasing by 0.4% from the previous month. Among them, the output of raw coal in May was 320 million tons, decreasing by 0.1% year on year and decreasing by 1% month on month.
From January to May, 920 million tons of coal were transported by railways, down 8% year-on-year. The railway transported 190 million tons of coal in May, down 9.4% year on year.
At the end of May, There were 3.79 million tons of coal stored in Qinhuangdao Port, and 77.94 million tons of coal stored in national key power plants, which can be used for 22 days.
From January to May, the coal mining and washing industry realized 749.42 billion Yuan in revenue, down 11.6 percent year-on-year. The total profit of coal mining and washing industry reached 78.28 billion Yuan, down 31.2 percent year-on-year. The operating cost of coal mining and washing industries was 537.26 billion Yuan, down 8.3% year on year.
