China's imports of coking coal fell 19.1%, and anthracite fell 49.9% in May

According to the latest data released by the General Administration of Customs, China's imports of coking coal in May 2020 were 4.79 million tons, down 1.13 million tons or 19.1% year-on-year, and 1.5 million tons or 23.8% month-on-month.
From January to May 2020, China imported 31.86 million tons of coking coal, up 7.1 percent year-on-year.
In May 2020, China imported 440,000 tons of anthracite, down 430,000 tons or 49.9% year on year, and 240,000 tons or 35.2% month on month.
From January to May 2020, the total import of anthracite was 3.04 million tons, down 26.7 percent year-on-year.
