China's raw coal output fell by 0.1% year-on-year to 318.84 million tons in May

The National Bureau of Statistics released the main data of industrial production above designated scale from January to May in 2020. In May, China's raw coal output reached 318.84 million tons, down 0.1% year-on-year and up 6.0% in the previous month. Average daily output was 10.29 million tons, down 450,000 tons month-on-month. From January to May, China's raw coal output reached 1,471.3 million tons, up 0.9% year on year.
In May, China's steel output reached 11.453 million tons, up 6.2 percent from a year earlier. From January to May, the country's steel output was 488.19 million tons, up 1.2% year on year.
In May, China's coke output was 39.08 million tons, down 3.2 percent year on year. From January to May, China's coke output dropped 2.8 percent year-on-year to 187.84 million tons.
In May, China's cement output reached 248.69 million tons, up 8.6 percent year on year. From January to May, China's cement output reached 768.83 million tons, down 8.2 percent year-on-year.
