China Shenhua’s commercial coal production fell 7.1% but coal sales rose 68.4%

The main operating data for April 2020 released by China Shenhua on the evening of May 18 showed that in April 2020, China Shenhua's commercial coal output was 22.2 million tons, down 7.1% year-on-year and down 10.84% month-on-month. Coal sales were 31.5 million tons, up 68.4 percent year on year but down 23.17 percent month on month.
In addition, in April 2020, China Shenhua's power generation capacity was 9.97 billion KWH, down 9.7% year on year. From January to April, the cumulative total power generation reached 37.43 billion KWH. In April, the total electricity sold was 9.32 billion KWH, down 9.9% year on year. From January to April, the total electricity sold totaled 35.03 billion KWH.
