China Shenhua's production of commercial coal rose 0.8 percent in March

According to the announcement of major operating data for March 2020 released by China Shenhua on the evening of April 15, China Shenhua's commercial coal output in March 2020 was 24.9 million tons, up 0.8% year on year and down 1.97% month on month. The coal sales volume was 41 million tons, with a year-on-year growth of 2.0% and a month-on-month growth of 35.31%.
From January to March 2020, China Shenhua’s cumulative production of commercial coal reached 74.4 million tons, up 4.1% year on year. The cumulative coal sales volume was 98.4 million tons, down 6.4% year on year.
In March 2020, the Huanghua Port of China Shenhua shipped 14.9 million tons, down 5.7% year-on-year and up 8.76% month-on-month. The loading volume of Shenhua Tianjin Port was 3.8 million tons, up 22.6 percent year-on-year and 11.76 percent month-on-month. Shipping freight volume was 7.4 million tons, down 15.9% year on year and up 5.71% month-on-month.
In January-March 2020, the Huanghua Port of China Shenhua shipped 44.8 million tons, down 6.3% from a year earlier. The loading volume of Shenhua Tianjin Port was 10.8 million tons, up 14.9% year on year. Shipping volume was 22.9 million tons, down 13.3 percent year on year.
In addition, in March 2020, China Shenhua generated 8.76 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, and with a cumulative total of 27.46 billion kilowatt-hours from January to March. The total electricity sold in March was 8.19 billion KWH, and the accumulative total electricity sold in January-March was 25.71 billion KWH.
