As of December 31, 2019, there were 185 coal mines with a total capacity of 141.62 million tons per year in Henan Province, according to a notice on Henan's coal production capacity released by the State Administration of Work Safety.
According to the announcement, there are 46 producing coal mines with a capacity of 1 million tons per year or more in Henan Province, with a total capacity of 90.92 million tons per year, or 64.2% of the total.
There are 41 producing coal mines with a production capacity of 1.2 million tons/year or above, with a total production capacity of 85.78 million tons/year, accounting for 60.57% of the total production capacity.
However, there are 93 coal mines with a capacity of 450,000 tons per year or less in Henan Province, with a total production capacity of 21.84 million tons per year, accounting for 15.42% of the total production capacity.
