As of April 2, the installed capacity of new energy in Xinjiang exceeded 30 million kilowatts, or 30.2 million kilowatts, accounting for 32.6% of the total installed capacity and ranking among the top in the country, according to the State Grid Xinjiang Power Co., Ltd. Xinjiang's new energy generation is expected to reach 60 billion KWH this year, about 6 billion KWH more than in 2019. Based on this calculation, 24.24 million tons of standard coal can be replaced and 63.5 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions can be reduced.
