China's rail coal shipments in January-February of 2020 totaled 370 million tons, down 6.2% from a year earlier, according to data released by the National Development and Reform Commission.
That compares with a 0.5 percent drop in coal shipments in January-February of 2019 to 396 million tons.
According to the website of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), the railway's freight volume in the first two months of this year totaled 675 million tons, up 1.4% year on year.
The above data can be seen that in the first two months of 2020, when the volume of railway freight continued to increase, the volume of railway coal decreased significantly.
